Our early concepts for the African Solar Taxi were developed using Sketchup, which is great for quick visualisations but is not as good as a proper 3D CAD model. Our industrial design student Andrew has therefore converted our design into SolidWorks, which allows us to evolve the design further, undertake structural analysis and prepare for construction of the first prototype vehicle.
How does it look?
Great, only slightly G-string in its canopy design. I think that hot African sun calls for the full mama briefs.
what an amazing progress. hopefully it will come to us soon.
Richard
It will be a major relief to the transport woos for the pregnant mothers and the support groups of people living with the virus who will be beneficiaries to this innovation if it succeeds.
Thank you Richard. We are still very committed returning to Zimbabwe next year with the initial vehicles, to conduct a trial. In the meantime, our blog will convey our progress over coming months, as we build our first working prototype and test it in Australia.
