We’re working hard to get the prototype ready to display at Womadelaide (http://www.womadelaide.com.au/). Lots of work to do, and it’s good to have a deadline to work to.
Today we drilled drainage holes in the floor and luggage tray, chose the final colour for the chassis (an ochre red), pondered several colour options for the seat cushion covers (blue, dark green and dark grey), visited several automotive stores to look for front and rear lights, practised folding and welding HDPE for the mudguards, then folded the first rear mudguard (which turned out great).
Tomorrow we hope to finish and affix all four mudguards.
We will send the chassis to the spray painter in just over a week, and when we get it back, we will have just one more week to prepare for Womadelaide. If you’re pondering Womadelaide but are unsure which day to go, lock in Sunday 8th March so you can come and say G’day and see the taxi.
